I didn't want to do this. This whole blog thing? Not my jam. Not right now, anyway.
My conversation with the Lord and a few friends has gone something like this: "What can I say that's not already been said? All the words in the world are taken. Who even cares? I don't have time."
All probably true, but not good enough. The pursuit to do this -- or rather, raise it from the ashes -- has been relentless. When the God of the universe says go, you run. Or in my case, you drag your feet for about a year and a half and put it off, come up with a thousand excuses and then finally relent when the heat gets a little too warm and the words a little to loud. I HEAR YOU, for the love. Obedience. I'm working on it.
So, here I am. Setting aside my prideful excuses, and choosing to walk forward in humility and say the words the Lord wants my and your ears to hear. Welcome. My hope is that if you land here, you feel loved. I feel as though I already love you but more importantly, the God of all the universe and of all the hairs on your head adores you. I hope you hear that here. It's true.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. -Ephesians 3:14-19
